This position will be based in and the initial primary responsibility will be to spearhead the buildout of our Microsoft 365 rollout. We are looking to utilize Windows Enterprise, Intune, and endpoint security.

You will report to our Director of Technology in our Austin TX office and will visit Austin a few times a year as required. Generally, no more than 3 times a year.
Responsibilities for System Administrator:
Use best practices to rollout the Microsoft 365 Suite and manage it going forward
Understand our Network (Ubiquity)
Understand our Systems and Methods
Document and update all aspects of our technology
Test and analyze our Disaster Recovery procedures, making changes where required to reduce maximum possible downtime
Assist with new technology initiative’s, write Business Requirement Documents, and ensure our needs are met with partners
Leading by experience, training, and example, develop an in-house Team providing maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our own technology systems network servers - recently rated at 99.99% by a third party
Train and build our Team to support and perform VDI implementations of cloud solution sales.
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
Monitor and proactively implement network solutions.
Suggest improvements and system requirements.
Communicate effectively to ensure users and managers are up to date.
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrading current IT infrastructure.
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
Document all procedures for training and “hit by a bus” scenarios.
Ensure all incidents are tracked and solutions best practices documented
Lead the development of training materials to automate the onboarding of new Team members.
Develop best practices for efficient growth.
Disaster recovery planning and implementation
Qualifications for this Role
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
Strong experience in the Microsoft Suite of Products including Azure.
3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
Experience with scripting and automation tools
A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
Nice to Have Qualifications
System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, Apple, or other network related fields
Windows 10 Enterprise
Microsoft Azure AD
Multifactor Network/System Authentication
Security Cameras and Alarm Systems
Multilingual - English Required, Spanish and/or French would be great.
