Global Director of Sales
PaaS expansion and global team leadership
eDist | A.I. Smarter World, Inc.
Bonita Springs, Florida | Onsite at headquarters | Full-time
Reports to the CEO | $150,000–$250,000 base salary, depending on experience
Target incentive of 15–20%+ | Recruitment through TopDog HR
The opportunity
Build the sales organization that takes eDist’s next-generation platform as a service (PaaS) into new markets. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will recruit and develop a new team, strengthen our existing sales capabilities, and turn our PaaS launch into a repeatable model for profitable growth. Your scope includes channel development, enterprise opportunities, services revenue, and international expansion.
You will join a stable, well-funded business with approximately 40,000 subscriptions and decades of customer and partner relationships. You will help determine how we organize the team, where we invest, which markets we enter, and how we measure success. The role suits a leader who enjoys hiring exceptional people, coaching them closely, and staying involved in important customer and partner opportunities.
Why build your next chapter at eDist
- An established foundation. Founded in 1973 and led by Quinn Ruelle since 1987, eDist has evolved through analog dictation, digital speech, cloud subscriptions, and healthcare AI. In 2015, we took Dragon Medical One to the cloud through our channel delivery model and proprietary subscription platform.
- A broader platform opportunity. Our existing PaaS supports subscription administration, billing, renewals, applicable sales-tax administration, partner compensation, and fulfillment. The next generation is intended to expand our vendor portfolio, reach new industries, and support white-label and custom-branded offerings.
- Experienced people behind the sale. Our specialists provide workflow assessment, implementation, training, project management, and technical support. The Dragon People adds deep Dragon expertise; distribution facilities in New Jersey and Canada support companion hardware.
- Credibility with demanding buyers. SOC 2 Type II assurance, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, and HIPAA-trained support strengthen the trust needed to sell into healthcare and other demanding environments.
- Access to leadership and meaningful work. Work directly with an owner who values candid ideas, execution, and an exceptional client experience. Our healthcare focus helps clinicians adopt useful technology, while our owner’s conservation work reflects a wider commitment to community and environmental stewardship.
What you will lead
Build and develop the team
Design the organization and phased hiring plan with the CEO. Recruit and coach leaders and contributors across enterprise sales, partner development, professional and technical services sales, and the order desk. Develop existing talent, establish roles and quotas, and build onboarding, certification, and career-development paths.
Turn the PaaS launch into commercial growth
Own the platform sales go-to-market plan. Define priority buyers, partner segments, territories, and sales plays with Marketing, Product, and executive Business Development. Expand from our healthcare and Dragon foundation into complementary software, services, hardware, and new verticals. Turn vendor and platform opportunities into profitable recurring business.
Grow a productive partner ecosystem
Recruit and activate cloud solution providers, VARs, corporate resellers, and referral partners. Build repeatable paths to first sale and sustained production. Establish account ownership, deal registration, attribution, and rules of engagement across partner and direct channels. Help partners grow through training, marketing, and appropriately scoped white-label services.
Plan and execute international expansion
Strengthen our business across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean, then develop the commercial plan for intended UK and European expansion. Prioritize countries using demand, partner economics, competition, and delivery capacity. Coordinate market entry with executive leadership and the teams responsible for vendor authorization, contracts, privacy, tax, localization, and support readiness.
Own revenue performance across the lifecycle
Lead Sales accountability from qualification through close, then work with Customer Success and Professional Services on handoffs, adoption, renewals, and expansion. Grow Dragon Copilot through well-qualified new opportunities and appropriate DMO and DAX migrations. Build services attachment into discovery and proposals, with clear scope and delivery commitments. Protect margin, customer continuity, and partner trust.
Make performance visible and predictable
Partner with RevOps to govern HubSpot stages, lead routing, response standards, data quality, and dashboards. Run pipeline reviews, coaching sessions, and quarterly business reviews. Own forecasting with the CEO and Controller, targeting variance below 10% using agreed definitions. Develop incentive plans and track recurring revenue, gross profit, partner productivity, conversion, retention, and sales capacity. Distinguish new business from migrated revenue and transaction volume from recognized revenue.
Improve execution with AI and service excellence
Apply AI and agentic workflows to research, qualification, follow-up, coaching, and CRM administration, with appropriate human oversight and data controls. Measure the resulting gains. Model our “Thrill and Wow” client experience through responsiveness, thoughtful follow-through, and quick resolution of friction. Build the reporting and management discipline needed for future pre-IPO readiness.
What success looks like
In your first 90 days, assess the team and commercial baseline, agree targets with the CEO, and begin a phased hiring and market-entry plan. Launch initial sales plays, establish dependable forecasting, and define sales-to-delivery handoffs.
Over the first year, demonstrate productive new hires, more active selling partners, stronger recurring revenue and gross profit, and improved conversion and retention. Advance international opportunities against agreed readiness milestones while protecting customer experience and forecast reliability.
What you bring
A record of building teams. At least eight years of sales leadership experience, with measurable success hiring, coaching, and scaling teams.
Commercial range. Success leading both direct and partner sales, setting territory and account strategies, and translating complex offerings into customer value. Experience in SaaS, subscription platforms, technology, or B2B distribution is especially relevant; strong transferable experience is welcome.
Financial and operational judgment. Strong forecasting, data analysis, incentive design, and pipeline management. You understand recurring revenue, retention, gross margin, and the work required to sustain customer relationships.
Technology fluency. Deep CRM and RevOps proficiency, with HubSpot strongly preferred, plus practical experience using AI and agentic automation to improve sales execution.
Leadership that earns trust. Clear communication, direct feedback, strong coaching, and the ability to work across Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Professional Services, Finance, and executive Business Development.
International perspective. Cross-border growth, market-entry, or international channel experience is highly valuable. English business fluency is required; Dutch, French, German, or Spanish is an advantage. Microsoft, Nuance, healthcare technology, and EHR ecosystem experience are additional strengths.
This position works onsite at our Bonita Springs headquarters. Candidates should be based locally or willing to relocate. Occasional travel to company locations, partners, and industry events is required, including international travel as expansion warrants.
